Welcome to ABA Africa, an exciting expansion of the American Basketball Association (ABA) into the vibrant continent of Africa. Our mission is to ignite the spirit of basketball in communities across Africa, starting from our headquarters in Ghana.
ABA Africa is more than just a basketball league; it's a movement aimed at fostering community involvement, promoting fitness, and creating economic opportunities. We are proud to be building a state-of-the-art ABA Arena on 15 acres of land on the outskirts of Accra, Ghana's capital. This project is expected to bring significant economic value to the area, provide fitness opportunities, and create a plethora of jobs.
Our leadership team, led by ABA CEO Joe Newman, Senior Executive Harold Whaley, International Liaison Leslie Beckett Samuel, and ABA Africa President Prince Richard NwaobiE, is committed to ensuring the success of this venture. We are actively seeking partnerships in various sectors to support the growth and success of the new league.
In a groundbreaking initiative, ABA Africa will launch a program called "DIGI-SEATS". This program will allow local residents to partake in financial wealth by owning a seat in the newly constructed venue and receiving a usage fee every time someone sits in it, for life.
