Terms of Service for Team Owners

  1. Image Delivery and Format:
  • Team owners are required to deliver images of their teams in the specified format in a timely manner to ensure their representation in the game.
  1. No Payments for the First 12 Months:
  • During the initial 12 months of the app's launch, no payments will be made to team owners to encourage global user adoption.
  • Any income generated during this period will be reinvested in the promotion and advertising of the game.
  1. Year Two and Revenue Sharing:
  • In the second year, a purchase layer will be introduced.
  • Team owners will share in a cumulative 50% of the game's earnings, which will be distributed every six months starting in July 2025.
  1. Biannual Fee for Team Representation:
  • Teams are required to pay a biannual fee to maintain their representation in the game on various platforms, including web, iOS, and Android.
  1. Player Customization and Special Features:
  • Players may not look exactly like themselves due to technical limitations.
  • Additional features, such as special moves, unique hair, designs, or non-standard creations, may incur an additional fee for the team.
  1. Alpha and Beta Phases:
  • The game will go through an alpha phase starting in late January and a beta phase beginning in March 2024.
  • Subscribed owners will gain access to the game during the late alpha phase.
  1. Team Removal and Adherence:
  • Teams that do not adhere to the American Basketball Association (ABA) rules and regulations with their real physical teams may be removed from the game.
  • If a team leaves the ABA and is no longer a member, they will be removed in the next game upgrade.
  1. Ongoing Upgrades:
  • The game will receive regular upgrades throughout the year to enhance performance, fan interaction, usability, and design.
  1. No Moneyback Guarantee:
  • Once the process of incorporating a team into the game has started, there will be no moneyback guarantee, and costs associated with that process will be incurred by the team.
  1. Training and Technology:
  • The league and the game are not responsible for training individuals on how to play on their devices.
  • Training videos will be made available, but any delays due to technology constraints are beyond the control of the ABA and the game.
  1. Release Date:
  • The game is currently planned for release in April 2024, but this date may change without prior notice.
  1. Subscription Compliance:
  • Teams that have not fulfilled their subscription duties will not be active in the game.
